No, neither conversion can be done. Converting a switch would be considered a violation of the NEC Article # 110.3(B) and the UL Listing. Also, the switch`s labeling would be incorrect.
NOTE: This would also apply to ANY Square D Canadian safety switches(heavy duty, general duty or double throw) it would violate the CSA listing and CEC(Canadian Electrical Code) and switches labeling would be incorrect.
