Issue:
Is the communicating shunt trip and close coil for the Masterpact continuous-duty or momentary?
Product Line:
Circuit breakers
Resolution:
For the Masterpact NW
Constant voltage must be supplied to terminal C3.
Voltage may be applied continuously to terminal C2, but the plunger will only extend for 0.5 seconds and then retract.
The coil may be operated via Modbus commands, but operation will also only be momentary. It is not possible to keep the coil energized with Modbus.
For the Masterpact MTZ
Constant voltage must be supplied to terminal C3.
Voltage may be applied continuously to terminal C2 for electrical interlocking..
The coil may also be used for interlocking via a Modbus command.
