What class of fuse do ALL the 30 A, 600Vac Max. heavy duty safety switches accept?

Issue:
Product design feature

Product Line:
Heavy Duty Safety Switches

Resolution:
All the 30 A, 600Vac Max. heavy duty safety switches accept class H or K fuses as standard. Options include class R fuses (field install class R fuse kit) and class J fuses (field relocate the fuse base assembly to alternate position marked in the enclosure). With Class H or K fuses installed, the switches are UL/CSA listed for use on systems with up to 10 kA RMS available fault current. With Class R fuses or Class J fuses installed, the switches are UL/CSA listed for use on systems with up to 200 kA RMS available fault current.

NOTES:
1) All Square D Canadian 30 - 200 A, 600 Vac, 3 pole heavy duty safety switches leave the factory to accept class J fuses as standard. Conversion to class H fuses requires relocating the load side base assembly to an alternate position as marked in the enclosure.

2)
DO NOT USE RENEWABLE LINK FUSES IN SQUARE D SAFETY SWITCHES. The use of renewable link fuses may adversely affect user safety, impair reliability, and will void the warranty.
