Can the operating handle of a J250DS circuit breaker enclosure be padlocked in the ON position?

Resolution:
The provisions to padlock the operating handle in the ON position is not a standard feature of the enclosure. A factory special modification can be ordered that will provide the padlock ON capabilities; add suffix SPLO to the standard catalog number (J250DSSPLO). For field modification, a 3/8 inch maximum hole can be drilled in the lockoff slider to allow the handle to be locked in the ON position. Check local code regulations for acceptability.
