Video: Can ANY of the QO or Homeline single phase, NEMA 1 (indoor), main breaker or main lug load centers be top or bottom fed?
Issue:
Product Design Features
Product Line:
QO load centers
Resolution:
TOP FEEDING:
For ALL NEMA 1:
ALL of the U.S. QO and Homeline load centers, NEMA 1 (indoor) come with the Main Breaker or Main Lugs located at the top of the load center interior and can be top fed.
BOTTOM FEEDING:
For ALL NEMA 1:
The smaller FIXED Main QO and Homeline load centers can be Top Fed, but the load center CANNOT be rotated for bottom feeding. To bottom feed, the incoming wires can enter through the bottom endwall and either go directly into the Main Lugs, depending on the load center interior layout, OR the wires can be fed up past the interior through the gutter area and looped around into the Main Lugs.
The NEMA 1(indoor) CONVERTIBLE Mains, can be bottom fed by rotating the complete load center and cover. This will NOT cause the labeling to be "upside down", it will just start the circuit counting at the bottom of the cover where the Mains is located, but it will read appropriately.
