Can a mechanically held Class 8903 Type LX lighting contactor be converted to electrically held?
Product Line:

Environment:

Cause:
Can a mechanically held Class 8903 Type LX lighting contactor be converted to electrically held?
Resolution:
This conversion is not recommended and could create warranty and/or electrical inspector issues.
It may be possible to use the existing device by replicating the electrically held operation by interposing a relay with (1) normally open and (1) normally closed contact. See Form R6 wiring diagram for this application. Form R6 is a field installable option and would require a CA2SK11 relay of appropriate coil voltage and a 9999RLX bracket.
