Cause:
Determine what option is better for an application
Resolution:
On Delay - When control power is applied, the time delay begins. At the end of the time delay, the output
contacts energize. To reset, remove control power.
Off Delay - Control power is applied all the time. When the initiating hard contact is closed, the output
contacts energize. Reopening the initiating hard contact begins the time delay. At the end of the time
delay, the output contacts de-energize.
Interval - When control power is applied, the output contacts energize and the time delay begins. At the
end of the time delay, the output contacts de-energize. To reset, remove control power. If control power is removed before
the interval has elapsed, the outputs will reset.
Repeat Cycle - When control power is applied, the T1 on-time begins. T2 contacts remain open. At the end of the T1 on-time, the
output contacts deenergize and the T1 off-time begins. T2 contacts energize. T2 timer times, holding the T2 contacts closed until
the timer times out, then T2 contacts open, T1 contacts close, and the T1 timer begins timing. Opening the control circuit
stops the sequence and resets the timer. For the Type JCK5 series, the off-time and the on-time may be set to different times. For the JCK70 timers,
the on-time and the off-time are the same, and are not individually adjustable. Telemecanique products operate in much the same way
One Shot - Control power is applied continuously. When the initiating hard contact is momentarily
closed for at least 40 ms, the time delay begins and the output contacts energize. At the end of the time
delay, the output contacts de-energize. Reclose the initiating contacts to repeat the one shot.
