Resolution:
When the HOA (cam switch) is in the Automatic mode the external device (thermostat, pressure switch, etc). controls the motor. The contact of the external device must be rated to carry the motor current.
When the HOA is in Hand or Off, the automatic 2-wire control device is overridden.
