Are Square D MCCBs primary injection tested at the factory?

Product Line:
Molded Case circuit breakers

Resolution:
Square D Powerpact and the Masterpact NT and NW breakers are primary injection tested at the time of manufacturing to ensure they meet published trip curves.

Masterpact MTZ breakers are NOT high current primary injection tested at final assembly. Sub systems like the CTs and control unit are tested at their respective manufacturing locations. The metering chain (CT to control unit) is verified using low current injection (around 200 amps) to verify metering on the HMI. Also, the control unit continuously monitors the health of the metering chain.
