Per document 7400HO0602: Schneider Electric introduced the first TP1-compliant low voltage dry type distribution Transformers in December 1998.
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPACT 2005) established NEMA TP1 as a new national standard for all low-voltage products manufactured after January 1, 2007. Enacted on August 8, 2005,
EPACT 2005 requires that low voltage dry-type distribution Transformers, manufactured after January 1, 2007, meet the Class I Efficiency Levels for distribution Transformers specified by NEMA TP-1 standards.
