It's recommend to use a 30 A breaker for installation of these SPD's using #10 wire. If connected to a separate, dedicated branch circuit, the Overcurrent Protection Device (OCPD) setting
must be selected to protect the conductors feeding the SPD. Also, when connected to an existing branch circuit, the conductors connected to the SPD must have an ampacity not less than the setting of the existing OCPD.
