What is the terminal temperature rating on Powerpact M, P, and R frame circuit breakers?

Inquiry:
What is the terminal temperature rating on Powerpact MG, MJ, PG, PJ, PK, PL, RG, RJ, RK, and RL circuit breakers?

Product Line:
Circuit Breakers

Resolution:
The termination rating for these circuit breakers is 75 deg. C.
This means that if terminated with cable, the insulation rating must be rated for 75 deg. C or greater,* and the conductor size must be based on its 75 deg. C ampacity.

Circuit breakers rated above 100 A are required to be suitable for 75 deg. C wire and do not need to be so marked.

*NOTE:  When Powerpact breakers rated for application at 100% of their current rating are cable connected, the cable must have insulation rated at 90 deg. C, but still the cable must be sized per the 75 deg, C NEC table.
