For Schneider Low Voltage Transformers, what does form "OC" mean?

Issue:
What does the suffix OC mean on the end of an EX, or EE type transformer mean?

Product Line:
Low Voltage Transformers

Environment:
Products sold in North America

Resolution:
The "OC" stands for Open Core and Coil.  The Transformer is supplied without an enclosure.  An exception is EXN type Transformers which are ordered with an enclosure, and the enclosure is then removed by the customer.  The Open Core and Coil assembly inside has an additional Name Plate with the catalog number of the Transformer, but ending in suffix OC.  The installer can then mount the Open Core and Coil Transformer assembly into a different enclosure such as a large Switchboard section, Motor Control Center section, etc.
