Symmetra LX Battery Module Information Missing within v6.X.X Network Management Card Firmware Web Interface

Issue

Users with an AP9630 or AP9631 UPS Network Management Card 2 v6.X.X installed in a Symmetra LX UPS may notice missing SYBT5 module within the Network Management Card web interface (this information is not available in any other interface such as Telnet/SSH/local console).

For this specific issue, this relates specifically to the last battery installed within a Symmetra LX system, including any batteries located in any Extended Run (XR) frames beginning with model number prefix SYBFXXXX.

Example from web UI:

Product Line
  • UPS Network Management Card 2 - AP9630/30CH, AP9631/31CH
  • Symmetra LX UPS and Extended Run Battery Frames.

Environment

  • All serial numbers
  • Network Management Card sy application v6.0.6

Cause

This is due to a Network Management Card firmware bug.

Resolution

This will be addressed in a future application module firmware revision, sy v6.1.4 or higher. Each Network Management Card has an AOS and application file and they cannot be updated independently. Please check http://www.apc.com/tools/download/index.cfm to verify the latest versions available for your device.

The user can review the missing information via the PowerView LCD menu on the front of the UPS or at the battery module itself via the serial number sticker.
