Resolution
An IObus network may consist of as many as 256 nodes, however there are also limitations on the number of I/O words available. The limit is based on the processor type as shown in the following table:

Note: Processors that support IEC are limited to a maximum number of 1408 used I/O points, regardless of the number of modules.
