Is there a way to determine if a direct address is used in a Control Expert (formerly Unity Pro) project?

Yes. Control Expert provides an option named "State Ram Viewer" which can be found under the PLC menu. This option is not supported in M340 CPU's which use an OS version < 2.40. You would have to use the Search/Replace option to determine if the address was used.
