Error 1004: "Unable to set the FreezePanes property of the Windows Class" when using Reporter/ RepGen
Issue
The Excel based Reporter in Struxureware Power Monitoring Expert generates the following error when trying to run a report.
Error 1004: "Unable to set the FreezePanes property of the Windows Class"
Environment
ION Enterprise, Struxureware Power Monitoring, and Power Monitoring Expert versions prior to v7.2.2 Cumulative Update 1(CU1) with Excel 2013
Cause
The "Unable to set the FreezePanes property of the Windows Class" error is generated due to incompatibility between previous versions and Excel 2013.
Resolution
This was corrected in Power Monitoring Expert 7.2.2 CU1.
The Power Monitoring Expert 7.2.2 CU2 also has the issue corrected and it can be found in FA240221.
It is recommended that the system be kept up-to-date with the latest version of Power Monitoring Expert.
