Which phase does an ION8600 and ION8800 meter choose to measure frequency on?

Issue
Which phase does an ION8600 and ION8800 meter choose to measure frequency on?

Product Line
ION8600, ION8800

Environment
ION8600 and ION8800 meters in any voltage wiring configuration.

Resolution
An ION8600 and ION8800 series meter chooses the phase on which to measure frequency in a pseudo-random fashion, with a preference for Phase A more often than any other phase. The selection process is designed to account for unattached phases and will skip any phases that are not wired. This ensures accurate frequency measurement even in cases where only one or two phases are connected.
