Possible Reason for Firmware Failure in 7300

Issue
Firmware upgrade fails in ION Setup and the Device Upgrader, but does not have a specific error code. A general message of "Operation Failed!" or "Upgrade Failed at..."… is given.

Cause
In this case the firmware version is not compatible with the meter’s Revision. A or B firmware is being installed on a B or A meter. The upgrade fails immediately since the firmware and meter are incompatible.

Resolution
Use the correct firmware version for the revision.
73xx:
Revision A if the last two digits are <= 09
(e.g. PA-0005A123-06)
Revision B if the last two digits are >= 10
(e.g. PA-0005A123-11)
