Implementing IEC61850 protocol requires CET850, which uses the ICD file specified and creates a CID file. It is this CID file which is then uploaded to the meter via FTP. Please see page 12 of IEC 61850 and ION Technology, and the attached SFT Common libraries and detailed instructions on how to load the CID files into ION meters.

Download CET850 from the Schneider Electric site (This CET850 IEC61850 configuration tool replaces the previous tool called SFT850 software, therefore it works with Sepam IEC61850 protocol as well).
