RSU or LTU software and UTA (STRV00910) not communicating with Micrologic trip unit

Resolution:
Your computer may not be recognizing your new hardware, the UTA test kit in the USB port.

Go into your Windows control panel
Go into the device manager
Right click on Ports (COM & LPT)
Click on "Scan for hardware changes"

Now you should be able to go into your RSU or LTU program
Click on Setup, click on PC communication parameters
For Channel, select USB Maint. Module
For Serial port name, select COM (port number):  Maintenance Module

The new style (mid 2021 or later) H, J, and L frame trip units no longer connect to the UTA and LTU software. For trip unit testing, now use the service interface kit (LV485500) and the EcoStruxure Power Commission software (download from website here) with the Advanced Circuit Breaker Testing subscription.
