General Duty, Heavy Duty and Double Throw Safety Switches
Resolution:
The Safety Switch product lines are designed, tested and listed for wall mounting. Floor mounting or free-standing installation is not permissible.
The final mounting of Safety Switches would be between the installer and local code authority. Safety Switches can be mounted in a variety of ways, that may be similar to wall mounting. BUT it is up to the installer to follow the NEC in the U.S. and CSA in Canada and obtain the local code authority's approval BEFORE the installation.
