Configuring the TYP Parameter on Altivar 212 Drives

The TYP parameter on the Altivar 212 (ATV212) series VFD is used to quickly set the drive for common operating modes or to perform internal maintenance functions. These include:

  • Setting the drive for 60 Hz operation
  • Setting the drive for 50 Hz operation
  • Performing a full factory reset
  • Saving a backup copy of the drive configuration
  • Restoring a previously saved configuration
  • Clearing the elapsed motor run time
  • Clearing the fault history
  • Clearing an EtYP fault

There are 10 total TYP settings, each corresponding to a specific mode or reset operation.
