How do you set the Preset value of the BMXEHC0800 HSC to a value greater than 65535 ?

Product Line:

BMXEHC0800 , Modicon x80, M340, M580

Resolution:

The BMXEHC0800 is a 16 bit counter which allows a maximum Preset value of 65535 in all but one mode of operation. When the BMXEHC0800 is configured as a Dual Phase counter the
counter can have a much larger Preset value. This larger value cannot be set using the Adjust screen for the BMXEHC0800, it has to be set using the IODDT for the specific channels defined
for Dual Phase counting . The screen capture below highlights the entry field for Preset values greater than 65535. (a maximum value would be 99,999,999)
Keep in mind that when you select Dual Phase counting mode, it allocates 2 counter channels. Therefore you're BMXEHC0800 will be limited to 4 Dual Phase counters designated 0,2,4,6.
