Square D Panelboards are designed to operate within an ambient of 10 - 40 degrees Celsius (50 - 104 degrees Fahrenheit).
This means that any temperature below 10 degrees C will dictate the need for panelboard space heaters (with thermostat), and any temperature above 40 degrees C would require the equipment to be placed into a temperature controlled space to ensure the 40 degree C maximum temperature is not exceeded. An example would be if the panelboard interior is installed into any of our WP Nema 3R enclosures, and it is placed where direct sunlight can hit it.
If the ambient temperature approaches 80 degrees F, Consideration would need to be addressed concerning exceeding 40 Deg C /104 Deg F due to solar affect
