What is the purpose of the M580 SD card?

The SD memory card on the M580 is used to backup the application in the event of a hardware issue.
The application and any saved data (%MW initial values) on the SD card cannot be accessed via USB or FTP.

The memory card with application and backed up initial value data can be inserted in a new CPU to load and run the application.
