Cause
It's important to know which measurements are recognized as "summable" by Hierarchy Manager to understand the information provided by Virtual Meters. This is especially critical in devices which might not use the standard labels, and as such the Hierarchy Manager does not know that it should sum this measurement for the constituent meters.

Resolution
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*

Run the attached SQL script. All measurements returned by this query are "summable". Other measurements are averaged.
