Do the Wireless Harmony Pushbuttons maintain a constant communication with the receiver?

How does the wireless pushbutton communicate with the receiver?

XB5R and XB4R Wireless Pushbuttons

Cause:
Application questions sometimes depend on this

Resolution:
These buttons do not maintain a constant communication with the receiver.  The ZBRT1 sends a single radio pulse only when the button is pushed.
The ZBRT2 sends a radio pulse when the button is pushed and another when the button is released.
