How do you program the ATV12 drive to do 2 wire start stop from the terminals and speed control from the local knob?

Issue:
Program the ATV12 drive to do 2 wire start stop from the terminals and speed control from the local knob.

Altivar ATV12

Environment:

Cause:
Needs to start stop the drive in terminal mode and use the knob for speed control.

Resolution:
Step 1
Put the drive in local mode by holding the MOD button for 4 seconds or until the display flashes LOC.
you will see 3 LEDs flashing or scrolling on and off

Step 2
Now hold the ESC button for 4 seconds or until the 3 LED stop scrolling and start to flash all 3 at once.

Step 3
Now you can program the drive with the knob or wheel.  Push enter on the wheel, scroll down to CONF enter, scroll down to CTL menu enter,
FR1= A1U1 enter
CHCF= SEP  enter
CD1= term enter

IO menu
tct= LEL
TCC= 2C
rrs= optional for reverse LI2

When you are done with all of your programming Hold the ESC button again for 4 seconds or until the 3 leds start to scroll again.

Now you are ready to run your drive by starting in terminal mode and using the knob as the speed control.
