What can cause an CFF fault on the ATV12 drives?

Issue:
CFF fault  on the ATV12 drives?

Product Line:
Altivar ATV12

Environment:
All

Cause:
Drive is powering up with an CFF fault and will not clear.

Resolution:
CFF= incorrect configuration fault.

Possible causes:
-HMI block replaced by and HMI block configuration on a drive with a different HP ratings.
-The current parameter of the customers parameter is inconsistent.

Remedy: Try resetting the drive back to a factory default by going into:
ConF  menu enter
FCS menu enter
change FCS menu to InI and hold for 2 seconds.
Now power cycle the drive.
If the fault clears, now try and reprogram the drive.  If you are still getting the CFF fault then you will need to replace the drive.
