Event action gets repeated periodically, if the event is not acknowledged.

Issue
If an event occurs and it is not acknowledged, the action (e.g., Send E-mail, etc.) will get repeated.

Resolution
If an event occurs and the user does not acknowledge it, the configured action  (e.g., send E-mail, etc.) for the event
will get repeat periodically.

This will occur if the setting for 'Send I"m alive" events' option is checked off.

To resolve the issue, uncheck the option and apply the changes.
