Cause:
Customers sometimes desire a lower than standard decibel level.

Resolution:
No. Reduced sound levels (e.g. 42DB) are no longer required since the low induction levels required to obtain the new efficiency provide EX transformers that are at least 6dB below NEMA requirements.
