Resolution:
The suffix "1" indicates a Type 1 SPD which is a permanently connected SPD intended for installation between the secondary of the service transformer and the line side or load side of the service equipment overcurrent device. Types 1 and 2 primarily refer to the location within the electrical distribution system where the SPD may be installed.

Without a '1" indicates Type 2 SPD which is a permanently connected SPD intended for installation on the load side of the service equipment overcurrent device connected to a dedicated overcurrent device; including SPDs located at the branch panel.
