Character limitations for device and site names in PME?
Issue
PME will not accept certain names for groups and devices.

Cause
PME will not accept a group and name combination that exceeds 99 characters or uses specific characters.
Resolution
The user must select a device name and group combination that will not exceed 99 characters, not including the '.' that separates the group name and the device name. The device name and group name cannot include the following characters as well: \ / : * ? " < > { } . , ' & @ | % #
The same limitation exists for Site names.
If the 99 character limitation is passed, you will see the following error message.
