Using internal excitation, the digital inputs are guaranteed to be open (not triggered) when they are presented with:

Cause
A customer may require the digital input resistance of the ION7650 meter to be incorporated in technical design data.
Resolution
Using internal excitation, the digital inputs are guaranteed to be open (not triggered) when they are presented with:
Guaranteed Open - 1 Mohm or greater external resistance for internal excitation between SCOM and S[n].
Using internal excitation, the digital inputs are guaranteed to be closed (triggered) when they are presented with:
Guaranteed Closed - 20 kohm or less external resistance for internal excitation between SCOM and S[n].
The above values are the guaranteed resistance. In practice, the actual resistance can be much higher and still trigger the input.
