Issue:
Error message is displayed when trying to connect or download to a PLC.
Potential Causes:
- The version of the firmware in the project is not compatible with the version of the firmware in the PLC.
- Incorrect CPU model selected.
- There is a library installed in the PLC that is not installed in the current version of Control Expert (Unity Pro).
Possible Resolutions:
- Change the version of firmware used in the project to a version <= version used in the PLC. To change the Control Expert (formerly named Unity Pro) firmware version, select the PLC in the Configuration of the local rack. The firmware version is displayed over the rack. Drop down the version and change it. Select the correct CPU version to be <= the actual Hardware version.
- Reflash the PLC with a version >= the version of firmware being used in the project. When reflashing it is recommended to upgrade the firmware in the actual CPU hardware to the latest firmware version available.
- Try to determine what library exists in the PLC that is not installed in Control Expert (Unity Pro). If this can be determined, install that
library into Control Expert (Unity Pro).
