Resolution:
The UL and NEMA standards do not address any type of shelf life for safety switches. As long as switches are stored in appropriate environments where they are not physically damaged in any way, are not exposed to any type of water and/or chemical damage, are not exposed to any other atmospheric damage that could cause corrosion or any other physical damage of any kind, there really is no shelf life.
