Can I Read the RJ45 Port Status on an Altivar Process PROFINET Card?
Resolution:
No. With PROFINET version 1.6, the status of the communication card's RJ45 Port A and Port B is not available through Modbus addresses or PNU parameters.
If you need to determine whether a port is connected (up) or disconnected (down), this information cannot be accessed through standard drive registers.
To monitor RJ‑45 port status, use the LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) service, which provides network link information for the PROFINET card.
