Surge Protective Devices (SPD's)

Resolution:
A Type 1 SPD can be permanently connected between the secondary side of the service transformer and the line side of the service entrance device. It can also be installed on the load side of the main breaker in the service entrance device. A type 1 SPDs can be installed with or without an over current protection device (OCPD).
