The AS-MBKT-185 connector has an integrated 120 ohm terminating resistor. These connectors can only be installed on the ends of the Modbus Plus network. The AS-MBKT-085 connector does not have an internal terminating resistor. These connectors can be installed on any Modbus Plus node in between the end nodes. The AS-MBKT -085 connector is a dark gray color whereas the AS-MBKT -185 connector is a light gray color..
