Is it possible to read the serial number of Sepam 40 base unit via Modbus communication?

Cause

The Modbus register address associated with the serial number of a Sepam 40 relay is not published. This restriction is intended to prevent unauthorized access that could potentially allow modification of the serial number and compromise the integrity of the device.

Resolution

It is not possible to retrieve the serial number of a Sepam 40 relay through published Modbus communication registers, as the corresponding Modbus address is not available. To obtain the serial number of a Sepam 40 base unit, use one of the following Schneider Electric software tools:

• SFT2841
• SFTSAV

These tools provide access to device identification information, including the serial number, through supported service and maintenance functions.
