How is the timeout (Holdup Time) set for ATV630/930 drives using Modbus RTU/Modbus TCP Ethernet/Ethernet IP?

Resolution:
To adjust the timeout through Modbus RTU:
Go into Main menu >> 6.1 Comm parameters >> Modbus SL >>Modbus Fieldbus >> and adjust Modbus Timeout to value desired.  0.1 to 30 seconds is the range.

To adjust the timeout through Modbus TCP (Ethernet):
You have to use Somove software to adjust the holdup time value (timeout)
In Somove, go into parameter list. Find Port-Modbus TCP/Ethernet IP option.  Select protocol Modbus TCP.  Under Modbus TCP you can adjust the Holdup Time (timeout) in seconds along with fall back mode.

To adjust the timeout through Ethernet IP:
There is no parameter in the drive that you can alter to change the timeout value.  The timeout is determined using the REP interval rate of PLC.  The value for timeout is 4 X the REP rate.
