What is the procedure for resetting the surge counter on Surgelogic OEM, EMA, EBA, and IMA series SPDs?

Issue:
If the surge count is elevated and there is a need to monitor the frequency of surge events or assess the remaining operational life of the Surgelogic SPD, consider implementing ongoing surge event tracking and evaluating the device’s condition based on cumulative surge exposure.

Product Line:
Surge Protection Devices

Environment:
Maintenance

Cause:
The surge counter has a high surge count and customer wants to reset counter to 0.

Resolution:
To reset the surge counter, first de-energize the unit by disconnecting all power sources. Locate the small white reset switch positioned on the underside of the diagnostic circuit board, near the diagnostic display connectors. Press and hold the switch for approximately 3 seconds.
