How do I program a relay to close on the ATV61 / ATV71 series drives when a specific motor frequency is reached?

Issue:
ATV61/ATV71 relay configuration

Product Line:
ATV61 / ATV71 series drives.

Environment:
All models, All serial numbers

Cause:
Information unclear in existing documentation.

Resolution:
Use Frequency Threshold Attained.
Under menu 1.5 - Inputs/Outputs CFG, select the relay you wish to use (R1 to R4 Configuration) and press Enter (the dial button).
Go to Relay (x) Assignment and select Freq. Th. attain (FTA).

Next, navigate to back to the Drive Menu and select Menu 1.3 - Settings and scroll down to parameter Freq. threshold (FTD).  Adjust this value to the frequency at which you want the relay to energize.
The assigned relay will energize any time the motor output is at or above this frequency and de-energize when running below this frequency.

i.e - Assign R2 to Freq Th. attain.  Set Freq. threshold to 40Hz.  When the drive reaches 40Hz, the R2 relay will close.  This will stay closed until the frequency drops under 40Hz.
