What does the EEF1 (EEPROM Control Fault) mean on an ATV600 and ATV900 process drive, and how do I fix it?
An EEF1 fault on an ATV600 and ATV900 series process drive indicates a problem with the drive’s EEPROM (control memory).
Resolution Steps
1.-Power-cycle the drive
Turn the VFD off, wait a few seconds, and power it back on to see if the fault clears.
2.-Back up the configuration
If the fault remains, use the keypad display to save a copy of the current program.
3.-Restore factory settings
Reset the drive to factory defaults by setting Parameter Group Lists = All, then reapply power.
4.-Replace the control block if needed
If the EEF1 fault persists after a factory reset, the control block is likely defective and must be replaced.
