Issue:
Customer ordered an S-Flex unit that came with Series E wiring. They want to make the motor stop on a ramp.
Product line:
S-Flex
Environment:
Series E only.
Cause:
Addition of a run permissive ahead of the AFC-BYP selector switch.
Resolution:
Per Marketing and Engineering, the series E S-Flex was designed for coast to stop applications only. It is up to the customer to modify the wiring to get a ramp stop function if needed. Consider adding an additional control relay for drive running status and incorporate a contact in parallel with the RPR contact before the AFC-BYP selector switch, using DIN terminals 4 and 7.
See attachment for several possibilities.
