Video: How to use the Micrologic P or H trip unit screen to change Modbus parameters

Issue:
Can the Modbus communications parameters be changed on the P or H trip unit screen?

Product Line:
Circuit Breakers

Resolution:
The Micrologic P and H trip unit screen can be used to change Modbus parameters for its breaker, as long as the breaker has a BCM, and both the trip unit and the BCM have separate 24Vdc power.

Using the below picture and video as reference, follow these steps.
1. On the front of the trip unit, press the Maintenance button (wrench)
2. Use the up/down arrows to scroll to "Com. Setup" and press Enter
3. Scroll to "Modbus Parameters" and press Enter
4. Scroll to the parameter you wish to change and press Enter (background will then appear dark)
6. Scroll to the desired value, and press Enter (background returns to normal)
7. To save the new setting, press the Maintenance button (wrench)
8. When asked to save the new settings, scroll to "Yes", and press Enter (new settings are now saved)
9. To return to the main screen, press the Metering button
