Resolution:
When on the screen to adjust brightness and contrast, press percentage buttons to increment settings downward. Note that there is no way to increment upward and that when passing about 40% contrast the screen goes dark. To brighten the screen again, keep pressing the button; it will pass zero and return to bright.
If the screen is dark and you cannot navigate to the adjustments or see them when you're there, you may re-install the firmware to restore the FFTK to default settings.
