Communication Alarms do not Show in the Alarm Log
Issue
During a project start or when a device has communication problem, communication alarms don't show in the Alarm Log.

Cause
The function PLSEquipProcessIODevStatus() is responsible for announcing communication alarms.  This function needs to be called for the communication alarms to show in the Alarm Log.
In older versions such as PLS 7.2, the function had to be called either manually or it was added to an include project.
In newer versions, the same function exists but it is not necessary to call the function explicitly.

Resolution
Call the PLSEquipProcessIODevStatus() function.  This can be done before starting the project by running Computer Setup Wizard and calling the function at step 'Startup Functions Setup':
