What configuration is required for an ATV320 drive when used on an ungrounded IT system?
Resolution:
When an ATV320 drive is used in an ungrounded IT system (isolated or impedance-grounded neutral) or a corner-grounded system, it is mandatory to disconnect the internal EMC filter to prevent improper operation, overvoltage, or overheating.
For 230 V drives, 400/460 V B-version drives, and 400/460 V C-version drives up to 4.0 kW, refer to the document:
“IT grounding ground screw removal.pdf”, which explains how to remove the grounding screw for the EMC filter.
For models ATV320U55N4C to ATV320D15N4C, refer to the document:
“IT_Jumper_ATV320_N4C.pdf”, which details the jumper method used to disable the EMC filter.
Important: Failure to disconnect the EMC filter in IT or corner-grounded systems may result in overvoltage, overheating, or equipment damage.
